Monica Izzo Monroe Twp. NJ Death and Obituary – With heartfelt sorrow, the community of Monroe Township, New Jersey, mourns the sudden passing of Monica (Weising) Izzo, who died peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 8, 2025. She was 51 years old. A woman of unwavering love, strength, and compassion, Monica’s death leaves an indescribable void in the lives of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born in Trenton and raised in Monroe Township, Monica remained a proud resident of her hometown throughout her life. She graduated from Monroe Township High School in 1991 and earned an associate’s degree from Middlesex County Community College. Early on, Monica’s vibrant personality and dedication to service laid the foundation for her multifaceted career. She began in restaurant management and notably worked for Disney, where she fine-tuned her talents in hospitality and guest relations.
Later, Monica found her true professional calling in the healthcare sector. For 28 years, she served as an Account Manager at Aetna, where her colleagues and clients were consistently inspired by her diligence, empathy, and professionalism. Her career was marked by a sincere desire to help others—an ethos that defined her both in and out of the workplace.
Above all, Monica’s proudest and most cherished role was being a mother. She was a constant source of encouragement and love for her four children: Zackary and Nickolas Izzo, and Shealyn and Corinne Lecorchick. Whether attending hockey tournaments, school events, or everyday milestones, Monica was always present, embodying the heart and soul of her family. Her identity as a “hockey mom” was more than a label—it was a badge of honor she wore with joy and pride.
Monica’s legacy extends beyond her immediate family. She was known for her generosity, warmth, and ability to make those around her feel truly seen and cared for. From remembering birthdays to offering unwavering support in times of need, Monica’s thoughtfulness was a guiding light to many. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of friends, extended family, and the wider community.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Izzo, as well as her grandparents Frank and Ruth Podgorski, Herman and Julia Weising, and father-in-law William Lecorchick, Jr.—all of whom helped shape the remarkable woman she became.
Monica is survived by her loving husband of three years, William Lecorchick III, and her four children. She also leaves behind her parents, William and Marian Weising; her brother, Justin Weising; and a large, devoted extended family including in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Monica’s life will be held at M. David DeMarco Funeral Home in Monroe Township. Visitation is scheduled for May 12 and 13, followed by a Catholic blessing.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice are encouraged to honor Monica’s generous spirit. Her radiant smile, kind heart, and selfless love will be remembered and cherished forever.
