Born on November 7, 1995, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Jake’s death has left a deep sense of loss among his family, friends, and community. Remembered for his kindness, determination, and infectious spirit, Jake’s legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.
From a young age, Jake showed qualities of hard work and dedication, nurtured by a close-knit family who valued integrity, compassion, and community. These values shaped his personal and professional journey, imbuing his life with purpose and meaningful relationships.
Jake’s achievements, particularly in athletics, are remarkable. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School as a standout hockey player, earning a reputation as one of the most decorated players to don the Old Abe jersey. His passion for hockey carried on into college, where he captained the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire team. His skill and leadership were recognized nationally when he was named to the NCAA Division III (ACHA) First Team All-American.
Academically, Jake excelled with dual majors in Finance and Accounting, graduating in 2020. Demonstrating his commitment to continuous growth, he recently completed a Master’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning. These accomplishments reflected his intellectual rigor and a strong work ethic, as he balanced high-level athletics with demanding academic goals.
Professionally, Jake built a respected career as a Certified Financial Planner with RBC Wealth Management. Over five years, he gained the admiration of clients and colleagues alike. Passing challenging licensing exams including the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66, Jake proved both his expertise and dedication. Beyond technical skills, his genuine care and personal attention helped him forge lasting relationships based on trust and empathy.
Jake’s personal life was marked by love and joy, especially in his marriage to Brielle. Their relationship was filled with laughter and shared passions—from long walks with their dog Lola to spirited games of cribbage and Scrabble. Known for making ordinary moments special, Jake was also an avid cook, perfecting recipes and enjoying their home life together. Their travels, particularly their honeymoon in Hawaii, remain treasured memories.
Family was at the heart of Jake’s life. He adored his nephews August, Henrik, and Roman, delighting in shared activities from board games to ice cream outings. His generosity and warmth extended beyond family, making him a beloved friend and community member. Whether on the golf course, playing pickleball, or relaxing at the cabin, Jake’s presence brought joy and camaraderie to all around him.
Jake is survived by his wife Brielle; his parents Timothy and JulieAnne Bresser and Deb and Jim Brown; his siblings Casandra and Eric Hutchinson, Eryn and Nick Levin, Molly and Carson Bresser; and his in-laws Kurt and LeAnn Bjork, Reid and Kara Bjork, and Cole and Jagger Bjork.
The community has expressed immense support and shared countless memories, reflecting Jake’s positive impact. A memorial visitation will be held on June 26, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, followed by a service on June 27.
