Police say the emergency call came in just after 12:30 p.m. Responding officers found Townshend suffering from a critical gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical aid and transport to a nearby hospital, he sadly could not be saved.
Lt. Jonathan Cunningham confirmed the incident is being investigated by the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit.
