Kerrian Malcolm, 29-year-old Missing Woman Found Dead Inside Suitcase

Shock and heartbreak have gripped the community of Savanna-la-Mar after the body of 29-year-old Kerrian Malcolm was discovered stuffed inside a suitcase near Gully Banks on Saturday morning.

Malcolm, a resident of Barracks Road, had been reported missing since Thursday night, October 2, after she was last seen at her home around 11:00 p.m. wearing a brown sleeveless blouse and blue-and-white shorts.

According to police, residents stumbled upon the suitcase and immediately alerted authorities. Investigators later confirmed the remains as those of Malcolm, whose death has been ruled a murder.

Detectives from the Westmoreland Police Division are leading the investigation, though no suspects have yet been identified. Officials say the discovery points to clear signs of foul play.

The tragedy has sent shockwaves through the town, with friends and neighbors remembering Kerrian as a quiet, hardworking young woman whose life was cut short in a brutal way.

Police are appealing to anyone with information about Malcolm’s disappearance or suspicious activity in the Gully Banks area to contact the Savanna-la-Mar Police. Her death has reignited calls for justice and stronger action against violence targeting women in Jamaica.
