The Louisville community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Kira Conely, a beloved daughter, sister, teammate, and friend, who passed away unexpectedly. Just 15 years old, Kira’s radiant spirit, infectious smile, and deep kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Kira was a rising star in volleyball, playing as a talented setter for the Rising Heights Volleyball Club’s 15-1 team, where her dedication, leadership, and love for the game inspired her teammates and coaches alike. Her passion on the court reflected the same energy and light she carried into her everyday life—always encouraging others, lifting spirits, and showing what it meant to be both humble and strong.
Beyond athletics, Kira was deeply loved for her compassionate heart and unwavering loyalty as a friend. She was the kind of person who could brighten even the darkest days, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration. To her family and closest friends, she was a constant source of joy, strength, and pride.
Kira is survived by her parents, Michele and Brandon Conely, her brother Tanner, and countless extended family, teammates, and friends who will carry her memory forever.
In this time of unimaginable sorrow, the Conely family is being supported through a Meal Train and other acts of kindness. Friends and loved ones are invited to honor Kira by keeping her spirit alive—through prayer, love, and by continuing to live with the same light she so effortlessly shared.
Forever cherished, never forgotten—Kira will always be remembered as a bright star gone too soon.
