With heavy hearts, we mourn the sudden and tragic loss of Ebony Mitchell, a respected occupational therapist from Grovedale, who passed away on October 18, 2025, following a motorcycle accident in the Otways. Her untimely passing has deeply impacted her family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives she touched through her dedication and care.
Ebony was known not only for her professional expertise but for her genuine warmth, intelligence, and passion for helping others. A valued member of the local health and education community, Ebony worked closely with students and staff at Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School and Bellarine Secondary College, where her support made a lasting difference. Her work helped children and families overcome challenges with dignity, kindness, and hope—hallmarks of her approach both in and out of her professional life.
Those who knew Ebony remember her as vibrant, empathetic, and deeply committed to making the world a better place. Her presence had a way of putting others at ease. Whether offering clinical guidance, a comforting word, or a smile that lit up the room, Ebony’s impact was profound and lasting.
