It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Natalya Chytry, a beloved daughter, friend, colleague, and creative soul, who left this world far too soon. Natalya passed away in Chicago, Illinois, leaving behind a powerful legacy defined by artistry, compassion, and grace. Her loss is deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Originally from Elmhurst, Illinois, Natalya was a proud Chicagoan and a dedicated member of the Art With Me Festival and Occasion community. Her work was more than a profession—it was a reflection of her soul. She believed in the transformative power of art and culture to bring people together, and she lived this belief in every project she touched.
As a curator, organizer, and creative collaborator, Natalya approached her work with thoughtfulness, passion, and deep intention. She was known for bringing heart to every endeavor, helping create spaces that inspired connection, healing, and beauty. Whether planning a festival experience or offering quiet encouragement to fellow artists, her presence was always meaningful and sincere.
Her peers often describe her as gentle yet strong, creative yet grounded, and someone who brought light into every room without ever seeking the spotlight. Natalya had a rare ability to see beauty in overlooked places—and in people. Her humility and kindness left an indelible impact on the lives of many.
A private memorial service to celebrate Natalya’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 10:30 a.m. CST at St. Joseph the Betrothed Ukrainian Catholic Church. Friends and family will gather in remembrance of a life lived with quiet brilliance and deep purpose.
To those who knew her, Natalya was more than an artist—she was a connector, a dreamer, and a deeply empathetic soul. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on through the work she created, the people she inspired, and the love she gave so freely.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who were touched by her presence. May Natalya Chytry rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to shine through every act of creativity and kindness.
